Giulio Terzi di Sant’Agata is appointed as Minister of Foreign Affairs

Former Ambassador of Italy to the Untied States, Giulio Terzi di Sant’Agata was appointed Minister of Foreign Affair under Italy’s newly-designated Prime Minister, Mario Monti. Terzi was selected due his notable involvement in the United Nations, NATO, the Italian Embassy in Paris and the Department of Economic Affairs, among many other prestigious organizations. At the recent NIAF gala in Washington D.C., President Obama publically thanked the Ambassador for his contributions to the Italian and Italian American communities. The Bergamo-born diplomat attended the University of Milan where he obtained a law degree in 1973, with a focus on international law. Over the course of his nearly 40-year career, Terzi has earned international recognition for his humanitarian efforts, civilian protection, international security and consistent roles in Italian diplomacy.
