Dedicated Italian American Channel Launches Streaming Services
Featuring 50 hours of exclusive Italian American content, Avanti Channel recently launched its streaming service focused on Italian and American content. Described as “a home for people that love all things Italian”, Avanti showcases cultural programs about food, lifestyle, fashion, travel, comedy, history, design, sports, cars, music and entertainment.
Spearheaded by a group of experienced media executives and producers, Avanti plans to expand its programming to 200 hours by adding celebrities, movies, documentaries, and innovative content. Moreover, the channel plans to display a bi-monthly Italian American Community magazine show that highlights content from viewers. Furthermore, the channel looks to present an Italian American Comedy Showcase starring top Italian American Comedians.
Emmy winning producer, Tony Ceglio, founded Avanti Channel as he previously had created cable channels that promoted Italian culture. Ceglio’s past programming, which included agreements with Comcast, DirecTV, Verizon FIOS, and Mediacom, won him multiple Telly and Aurora awards.
Ceglio’s media career began in the National Football League, when he became the first NFL film director of the New York Giants; thereafter, he participated as the founding chairman of the NFL Video Directors’ Committee. In due time, Ceglio changed how the NFL is presented worldwide.
Currently, Roku, Apple TV, Amazon’s Fire TV, Apple iOS and Android OS and all web applications stream Avanti Channel for free.
