Treccani Celebrates 100 Years in a Rome Event
The Italian Encyclopedia Institute, Treccani, celebrates its 100th birthday with a special event in Rome. President of the Republic Sergio Mattarella, along with Treccani President Carlo Ossola and Director General Massimo Bray are among the guests.
The institute was founded in 1925 by Giovanni Treccani and Giovanni Gentile, and it was established to create, update, and promote the Italian Encyclopedia of Sciences, Letters, and Arts. Over the past century, Treccani has redefined the role of traditional encyclopedias and evolved. Treccani has reinvented itself for the changing times and digital ages.
