Giovanni Allevi’s tours Italy to sold-out audiences
Giovanni Allevi, an Italian pianist, composer and conductor, has garnered lots of attention with his Piano Solo Tour 2014. On March 5th, a full audience of 2,400 at the Teatro Degli Arcimboldi in Milan gave Allevi a standing ovation at the first performance on his cross-country stint. The March 12th performance in Naples and March 13th performance in Rome have already sold out as well.
Allevi is spunky. From his wild hair to his skinny jeans, his appearance is like that of a saucy teenager. His Tour 2014 is not flashy and there’s no glam. This is perhaps what is so appealing about his performance. Everything is concentrated on the raw talent of his keyboard skills.
With degrees in both piano and composition, Giovanni Allevi has a highly trained background, and he has performed with a number of Italian stars including Saturnino and Jovanotti.
