Annual Symposium of The Dante Society of America
This year, Casa Italiana Zerilli-Marimò at New York University hosts the Annual Symposium of The Dante Society of America, “Dante and Money.” Keynote speakers include Professor Giacomo Todeschini of the University of Trieste and Professor Alan Stahl of Princeton University. They touch on topics that explore money and the economic context of thirteenth-fourteenth century Florence related to the examination of Dante’s life and works. Professor Alison Cornish, New York University, and Alessandro Vettori, Rutgers University, organized this event. The event was made possible by the Dante Society of America, NYU Department of Italian Studies, Casa Italiana Zerilli-Marimò, NYU Medieval and Renaissance Center, and New York Medieval Society. The symposium takes place April 10-11, 2025.
