Sting, one of the most famous British contemporary musicians and long-time Italian resident, opened his vineyard, Il Palagio in Tuscany, as part of a fundraising campaign benefiting restauranteurs in the U.S. The campaign supports this sector, which has been adversely affected by the COVID pandemic. The rock star’s vineyard offers visits over a three-day period. The event is part of an international online auction, offering luxury holiday packages of tours and wine tastings to the highest bidder.

One package entitled, “Experience Il Palagio with Trudie Styler, Sting and Riccardo Cotarella,” has already been sold. The bidding price started at $48,000 and closed at $140,000 on April 10th, 2021. It included wine tasting for 10-12 people with Sting himself, his wife Trudie Styler and their oenologist Riccardo Cotarella.
