A Piece of Italy in Grand Central
The beauty of Italy is insurmountable and not easily translated into film or photo, but although it may be hard to do, there are a few trying to bring this beauty to Grand Central Station. A 360 degree panorama of Italian Landscapes will be on display in Grand Central until July 20th.
The Ministry of Economic Development, the Italian Trade Agency, and the Altagamma Foundation brought the project to Grand Central to help expand and enhance the meaning behind “Made in Italy”. The Panorama features images of famous landmarks, landscapes, fashion industries, and more. All the work brings back the true essence of the rich and beautiful history of Italy, and just how much influence the beauty of the nation plays within the globe.
The panorama project gives audiences access to some of the most influential and creative Italian industries behind the scenes work to allow the smallest of glimpses into the secrets of their creations. Fashion, design and food are only some of the industries audience members can experience with insight into the over 3,000 year old cultural influence that Italy brings.
The panorama creates a strong link between craftsmanship, nature, technology and human experience in an expansive nod at culture. With video and shots spanning from over 200 locations and 100 companies, a truly influential and comprehensive film is brought to life amongst the hustle of Grand Central.
The panorama can be viewed as it spans across Vanderbilt Hall East at the Grand Central Terminal and will be available for viewing until July 20th.
