Roma: Travel Tales for Beauty Lovers

Courtesy of Istituto Italiano di Cultura Washington DC

Rome has served as a source of inspiration for many artists, writers, filmmakers and designers for a very long time. On the 11th of March, The Italian Embassy in Washington has organised a virtual tour of Rome from the perspective of Bvlgari and it’s creations. This tour will be held on a Zoom webinar at 12 pm (ET).

Art historian and curator at the Rome Municipality Cultural Heritage Department Costantino D’Orazio will guide the audience through the city’s most iconic landmarks, and illustrate the artistic relevance of these sights, and how they have inspired Bvlgari’s designs. He however will not be alone. Strega Prize Winner Melania G. Mazzucco and New York Times bestselling author André Aciman will give live readings of two short stories inspired by the most renowned sites in Rome. Opening remarks will also be given by the Italian Ambassador Armando Varricchio and Chief executive of Bvlgari Jean-Christophe Babin.
