Columbus Citizens Foundation (CCF) has begun accepting applications for the Anthony S. Fauci Scholarship. This new scholarship supports Italian Americans with exceptional academic abilities, who wish to pursue graduate-level studies in medical or public health fields.

The Scholarship was announced in 2020 and applications have begun this year (2021). It will be awarded annually, as one of many of the foundation’s many academic scholarships. CCF contributions cover elementary school, high school and college education for Italian Americans. The Anthony S. Fauci Scholarship is yet another push to support Italian Americans who have an interest in a field that in recent times has become even more crucial for society at large.

The scholarship’s namesake Dr Anthony S. Fauci is the Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases and Chief Medical Advisor to President Joe Biden. He was deservingly awarded this honor in 2020 for his work in public health in the United States of America. “We are thrilled to be adding this scholarship to our existing program. The qualities of empathy, understanding and perseverance that Dr Fauci has exemplified throughout his career, will all be prerequisites for potential candidates.,” remarked CCF Executive Director, Lisa Ackerman.

Application for the scholarship has been open from the 16th of February and remains open until the 1st of April.
