Giulio Picolli received the honor of Commendatore OMRI

Giulio Picolli, a successful entrepreneur with well-acknowledged outstanding expertise, was recently given the honor of Commendatore OMRI (Ordine al Merito della Repubblica Italiana) at the Italian Consulate in New York. Giulio Picolli is praised for his contributions to preserving the ties between Italy and New Jersey’s Italian-American community.

Giulio Picolli received the honor of Knight in 2003 and Officer of the OMRI in 2017. Picolli supported and promoted the Italian and Italian-American communities in New Jersey with great vigor and stood out as a prominent figure in the community for his remarkable leadership, exemplary management, and exceptional accomplishments in both the professional and social fields.

Piccoli, as President of the charity organization “Ieri Oggi Domani” and of the “Associazione dei Cavalieri dell’Ordine al Merito della Repubblica Italiana” in New Jersey, launched and promoted countless social, cultural, and philanthropic activities, including his ongoing laborious work in reconstructing the identities of the Italian and Italian-American victims of the 9/11 terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center.

Picolli’s tireless efforts to maintain relations between the Italian-American communities in New Jersey and Italy have been widely recognized and lauded by the social and business world and the Italian institutions in New York.
