As fashion week ends, two Italian designers launch the Fornasetti Collection to the American public. The project showcases Fornasetti’s most iconic images in mosaic art, including Ortensia, Bocca, Serratura and Soli in Capri.

With this collection, the Vicenza born mosaic company hopes to create a new concept in the decoration scene. For the first time, spectators will see the language of mosaics on a larger scale. For example, the face of the opera singer Lina Cavalieri will be displayed and demonstrate the consistency of the brand luxury under the artistic direction of his son Barnaba.

The collaboration between Fornasetti and Bisazza came to be after Rossella Bisazza met Barnaba and saw the similarities between the two brands. With that, the artist entrusted his illustrations to Bisazza and so came to be the four subjects of the series.

Despite the collection being ready for its 2020 debut, it was put on pause for two years due to the pandemic. The director of communications explains to La Voce di New York that they were “relieved and happy to have brought the Fornasetti Collection to New York, a showcase overlooking the world, from which to intuit the cycle of times. I found a different city, though. On the other hand, this place hides the power of change in its DNA. The difficult thing is to observe without missing something “.

The stunning collection forms part of the Manhattan office, one of Bisazza’s four flagships outside Italy. Spectators are welcomed to an area surrounded by other art galleries, an outdoor rooftop with a skyline view and a bigger exhibition space. Altogether, the “atelier has a stimulating harmony ”.
