This exhibit is comprised of over 130 works by 56 different female artists from the time period. The main goal of the exhibition is to display the works of female artists whose works were overlooked due to their male contemporaries. A lot of the works on display are sourced from museums around Rome, but there are pieces sourced from prestigious museums around the world; including the Uffizi gallery in Florence, Italy. Some well known artists included in this exhibition are Artemisia Gentileschi and Lavinia Fontana, among numerous other lesser known artists.

For more information regarding the exhibition visit the museum’s website.
