The Farnesina Collection by The Italian Cultural Institute

The Italian Cultural Institute of New York announced the public exhibition titled ‘The Grand Italian Vision: The Farnesina Collection,’ scheduled to take place September 18th to October 27th of 2023. The exhibition will travel to different venues across New York City. These venues include the Permanent Mission of Italy to the United Nations, the Consulate General of Italy, the Italian Cultural Institute, the residence of the Permanent Representative of Italy to the United Nations, and the United Nations building.

The exhibition showcases 71 carefully selected pieces from the remarkable art collection at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Italy. The curation of this installation began in the 1990s, aiming to present Italian history from the 20th century to the present day. The exhibition is truly captivating as it features a variety of mediums from intricate Italian sculptures to carefully composed short films. ‘The Grand Italian Vision: The Farnesina Collection’ offers a unique opportunity to explore perpetual themes of tradition and elegance represented in Italian art.
